MARIO BARANGEA (born in
He graduated from the University of Bucharest, Faculty of Letters, with a Double Major in Romanian Language and Literature and Portuguese Language and Literature, in 1978. Doctor in Psychology, University of Bucharest. Since 1990: accredited journalist. He graduated from the Course of Journalism orientated by journalists from the newspaper “The Guardian”,Great Britain. In 1991, he co-edited the supplement LAI of the Romanian newspaper Cotidianul. In Portugal, he was the Literary Director of the Amadis Publishing House, and the Founding Director of PUP – Publicações Universitárias Portuguesas. He collaborated with the Bilingual Cultural newspaper Diaspora, founded in 2004 in Lisbon. Creator of e-lexis, a data base integrated in search engines which allows simultaneous search in 10 languages. In 2000, he created the ATHOS system, for complex, virtual archives. In 2003, he founded the company Cyberlex, where he created the Spanish and Portuguse variant of the program for semantic analyses of the textual content, Tropes.
